Senior Software Engineer

Batch: 2022 and before. What's Hard: - The decisions you make ripple. A data model you pick today will be hard to unpick in six months. Getting them right requires seeing further than the ticket in front of you. - The product moves fast. You have to build systems that are correct for today and extensible for the requirements we haven't discovered yet — without over-engineering for hypotheticals. - You own quality across the team. If a junior ships fragile code, that's partly on you — you either caught it in review, or you helped raise the bar before it happened again. - You'll do most of the building through coding agents; writing code by hand is too slow now. What matters is directing them well and catching when they're wrong. What We're Looking For: - 3+ years shipping software in production, with time at a fast-paced startup or AI company. - A track record of owning meaningful systems end-to-end. - Strong intuition for what's worth building vs. skipping. - Comfortable reviewing and mentoring, not just writing code. - Prior work on AI-driven or agent products is a plus.
